Delete your Miso account
You can delete your Miso account and the data associated with it at any time, using either method below. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
Option 1 — Delete in the app (fastest)
Open the Miso app and go to Settings → Account → Delete account. You'll be asked to type your username to confirm. Your account and data are removed right away.
Option 2 — Request deletion by email
If you can no longer sign in or have removed the app, email [email protected] from the email address on your account (or include your Miso username) and ask us to delete your account.
To protect your account, we may ask you to verify ownership before we proceed. We complete verified deletion requests within 30 days and email you to confirm.
What gets deleted
Deleting your account removes:
- Your profile and username
- Your dogs and their profiles
- Your walks and saved routes
- Your posts, stories, comments, and kudos
- Your friend connections and invites
- Your push notification token
- Photos you uploaded
We delete this data from our active systems within a reasonable period. Residual copies in encrypted backups are overwritten on our provider's normal backup cycle. We may retain a limited record where required for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes; anything kept for those reasons is deleted once it is no longer needed.
Delete only some of your data
You don't have to delete your whole account to remove specific content. In the app you can delete individual walks, dogs, and comments directly. For anything else, email [email protected] and tell us what you'd like removed.
